Gasketed plate heat exchangers
Plate heat exchangers that open up: a pack of plates and gaskets that is easy to service, extend and adapt when the process changes.
REF · GASKETED
How a gasketed exchanger works
A pack of pressed plates is clamped between a frame plate and a pressure plate. The media flow in alternate channels between the plates — and never mix.
- Corner ports route the hot and cold medium between the plates.
- A gasket along the edge and around the ports prevents leaks and mixing.
- Combining plates with different corrugation angles raises turbulence at lower velocities.
- Single- or multi-pass flow is matched to the specific process.
Why Gasketed plate heat exchangers
Dozens of plate sizes
A range from small units up to DN 500 connections.
Material for the medium
AISI 316 / 304 stainless steel, titanium and high alloys for special duties.
Gaskets for the process
Several gasket materials, chosen by medium and temperature.
Open = serviceable
Cleaning, plate and gasket replacement, extra plates when duty grows.
High efficiency
Turbulent flow transfers more heat in a smaller unit.
Genuine parts
APV plates and gaskets for current and discontinued models.
Plate types
The corrugation pattern decides efficiency and which media can pass through.
EnergySaver
Low-viscosity media. Narrow gaps and many contact points — high efficiency and close temperature approach.
water · glycol · DHW
DuraFlow
Wide gaps and fewer contact points. For viscous products and products with small particles — continuous, durable operation.
viscous media · particles
EasyFlow
Wide gaps for products with fibres or pulp. Very gentle product handling.
juice with pulp · fibres
Capella 12″
A 12″ ported plate with an excellent plate-thickness-to-pressure ratio. Five plate lengths, EnergySaver or High Intensity pattern, also semi-welded.
